"We go to the castle Hotel most Sundays the food is excellent the best around by far.Great selection of meats and plenty of it.Very accommodating with seating and spotlessly clean. Good selection of drinks and the staff are brilliant can't do enough for you.Got to try a hidden gem for food 10/10"

"I visited the Castle Hotel, Merthyr for Sunday Lunch carvery yesterday and again had a fantastic experience. The food was beautifully presented, with plenty of hot, tender meat and fresh vegetables. The staff are always attentive, friendly and eager to help."

"The hotel is right in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil and also the main nightlife with bars and restaurants aplenty. It is noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, so be prepared as one night i was kept awake until 2am The rooms are comfortable and the cleaning is done at a high standard , though not all the same ,decor in my room was OK. It is a good value budget hotel. Food was cooked well , the dishes we..."

"Vera was really helpful to deal with for a large booking. The rooms and inside of the hotel was better presented than the photos make it seem, and the hotel is in a very central convenient place in the town. If I had to stay in the area again I would come back here."
